Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I have never been to therapy before. What can I expect for my initial meeting?

A: We know seeking out counseling is a big step for most people, so we strive to provide every client with an environment of comfort, understanding, and professionalism. During your initial session, your counselor will ask questions to get to know you, as well as other questions regarding current symptoms or struggles. Feel free to ask any questions you have of the therapy process, and point out goals you feel are important for you. Your therapist may also conduct a few brief assessments to better understand your symptoms and stressors.

Q: How long will the therapy process take?

A: Each client's therapeutic process is tailored to the specific needs for treatment. Therapists will collaborate with the client in order to determine treatment goals.

Q: I don't have insurance right now. How much are your services without insurance?

A: Service prices are based on the level of experience of each therapist. Please visit the "Services" tab above for more information regarding this topic. We also offer a sliding scale, depending on need.

Q: Is there a waiting list for new clients?

A: Currently, our University of Utah interns have immediate openings. Other professionals may have some slots available on occasion. Please reach out with any questions regarding scheduling options.

Q: What are your business hours?

A: Our current business hours vary, as each therapist sets their own availability. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, both in the morning and evening. Other options may be available, depending on need.
